Zoo, Cousins, and a Baby?!

So I was gonna talk about how I went to the San Diego Zoo so I'll start there. I went to the zoo last Saturday and it was really fun. I've been to the zoo pretty often because my dad has been working there since I was one. I went with a new friend that hadn't been to the zoo in about 3 years and a friend I've known for 5 years that had never been to the zoo before. Needless to say since she had never been to the zoo she was really excited which increased my excitement to hers because no matter how many times I go I still love it. We ended up in family roles: I was the mom, she was the child, and my new friend was the dad.
Next is cousins. I'm going to Fresno to visit my uncle and and cousins. My uncle married a woman that already had a daughter. I love my new aunt and cousin. We get along better then I do with the people I'm actually related to.
And finally the baby. Just in case you're reading this Sarah, don't tell anyone. Well when I was about to start writing this I got a knock on my room door. It was my dad wanting to talk to me. I came out into the living room where he and my step-mom were. He told me to sit down and revealed to me that my step-mom was pregnant and that I was the first to know. I can't even properly express my joy and excitement. My parents separated back when I was in second grade. I had wished I had a younger sibling  and it seemed like my wish was never going to be granted. Then my mother got pregnant from her boyfriend (whom she is no longer with) and out can a chubby baby girl. I was depressed before but once she was born she became my life and love. After several years of her living with us and them going out, my dad remarried a woman that didn't particularly like small children (which I wasn't since I was 16 when they married).  Now as I learned 15 minutes ago my stepmother is currently pregnant. To think I went 12 years as an only child and now I am 12 years older than one sibling and will be almost 19 when the next is born. With my dad's good humor he asked me if I wanted to see the sonogram and this is what he showed me. Now this is how I imagine the baby.
Here's to big sisters and big brothers everywhere.
